DSRL - Breeder Fuel Removal Ventilation Control System

Contec Design Services Ltd have provided design, build, functional testing and commissioning for the replacement of the BFR Ventilation Control System. These works required the replacement of a hard wired control logic system with a modern PLC system with HMI touch screens, while maintaining elements of the safety protection system for the plant.

Halcrow Group - Dounreay ATL Project

Contec Design Services Ltd have provided electrical, control and instrumentation support for the development of the Active Transfer Line design, at the Dounreay Site. These works required the production of substantiation documentation and supporting calculations and drawings for the development of the detailed design.

Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd - Shaft Shredder SCADA System

Contec Design Services Ltd have provided design, build, functional testing and commissioning services for a SCADA system as part of the development of the Shaft Shredder Trials System for Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd. This project required a novel approach due to the need to interface with experimental software and hardware systems, provided from multiple external sources. An overarching control system, for the complete package, was successfully integrated with minimal modifications required to key plant.
